Happy Long Weekend to my Canadian Friends!

With the long weekend in mind I decided to post Sundays recipe early so you can whip up this tasty snack

for the fam.

The Victoria Day long weekend is always an exciting weekend because it feels like the start of summer

which means longer, warmer days filled with more fun outdoors. I know our family loves to spend our

summer days at the cottage, beach or in the forest. It’s important to fuel life’s adventures so you can do rad

stuff together.

So to kick off the weekend I wanted to share this easy healthy kids snack board “recipe”.

Charcuterie boards are all the rage right now, the hubs and I often make them for date night because

they’re fun and so easy to customize. Typical boards are loaded with meat and cheese. I wanted to create

a healthier version that is still fun, colourful and delicious. My kids love the snack boards and I hope your

kids will too.

Feel free to customize your board to your family’s liking. We often get a few boards going so feel free to

make more than one.


Kids Snack Board


¼ -1/2 cup walnuts

¼-1/2 cup almonds

¼-1/2 cup peanuts

¼-1/2 cup pumpkin or sunflower seeds

¼-1/2 cup blueberries

¼- ½ cup raspberries

¼-1/2 cup blackberries (or any fruit you have on hand)

¼ -1/2 cup avocado, cubed

¼ - ½ cup cucumber, sliced

¼-1/2 cup carrot sticks

¼ -1/2 cup red pepper, sliced or cubed

¼-1/2 cup goji berries


1. On a very cute or colourful board place 12-15 reusable muffin liners or small bowls.

2. Fill each bowl with a different healthy food listed above or whatever you have in your fridge or pantry.

Think nuts, seeds, fruits, veg, super foods.

3. Make it fun and enjoy!

Note – you can also make healthy kabobs for snacks or desserts using fruit and nut butter.
