Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Happy Father’s Day to all the Rad Dad’s out there!

We are having the family over today and I wanted to serve up a dessert that would provide nourishment, and still taste great so we are whipping up my favourite chocolate avocado mousse. This recipe is in my cookbook but I wanted to share it here too just in case you haven’t picked it up yet or maybe you have the book and have not tried this recipe yet. It’s so simple that your kids can make it for dad too!

I am keeping this short and sweet today because I want to get outside and enjoy some activity outdoors with the fam. I hope you get to do the same today too!

Chocolate Avocado Mousse Recipe

Makes 2-3 servings

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted (or 1/2 cup frozen avocados)

1 frozen banana

2-3 tablespoons cacao powder

1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into blender or ninja and blend until smooth. Mixture should be a thick consistency.

  2. Pour into fancy cup or bowl, option to top with a dollop of almond or peanut butter and cacao nibs.

  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

See how easy that is?? and it’s so good you guys. You can even make them into popsicles for the kiddos. You can watch a quick video on how to make it step by step on YouTube: https://youtu.be/rV-DYSCB79o

As always if you make this recipe let me know what you think or tag me in your pics because I love seeing your creations and variations. Seriously it makes me smile.

Have an amazing day celebrating with your rad dads!
